Areas of Research Interests/ Research Projects

Heat and mass transfer on interface/surface at micro/nanoscale, carbon capture and geological storage, unconventional resources exploitation and exploration, large-scale geological hydrogen storage, moisture adsorption/desorption in micro/nano dual porosity materials.

Research Status

Focusing on the common basic problems in energy conversion and utilization technology under the ‘dual-carbon’ target, the first-principles calculation, molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo methods are applied to reveal the molecular behavior of surface interface under the effect of external fields, and reveal its influence mechanism and law on macroscopic transport performance. The micro-mechanism/macro-model is verified by combining high-precision surface force test experiment, macro-scale numerical simulation and upscale theoretical analysis. Shale analysis equipment and related data analysis software have been developed and applied to shale exploration well testing in southern Sichuan Basin.
